Don Rafael Brull se enamora de la hija de uno de sus arrendatarios, pero su madre impide esa unión. La joven, Leonora, marcha a París donde se convierte en cantante de ópera. Cuando vuelve a Valencia, reencuentra a Rafael.
Rafael Brull falls in love with the daughter of one of his leaseholders, but his mother obstructs this relationship. The young woman, Leonora, moves to Paris where she becomes an opera singer. When she returns to Valencia, she find Rafael again.
