Joanna, que actúa de payaso de hospital local, desarrolla la enfermedad de Alzheimer y debe retirarse a su pequeña casa situada a las afueras del pueblo.
Su hijo, Eske, le hace una visita por sorpresa.
No se han visto durante muchos años y Joana se resiste a darle la bienvenida.
Eske husmea por toda la casa y se instala en el sofá. Quiere ayudarle ahora que está enferma, pero le pedirá algo a cambio. Joanna se pone a prueba.
