A fines del invierno, una pareja de ancianos campesinos del sur de Chile esperan la visita de su hija y su nieto. El hombre, Antonio, despeja un canal de regadío y la mujer, Olga, hace quesos para vender a la orilla del camino. El tiempo transcurre lentamente y en silencio, en medio de la lluvia y el sol intermitente. Tras un día de trabajo, los dos se sientan en silencio a esperar.
An older couple is waiting for a visit from their daughter and grandson. It is winter in the Chilean countryside, yet there is a lot of work to be done. He cleans the ditch; she sells home-made cheese. After a long day it starts raining again. They sit in silence by the open hearth, waiting for the rain to stop.
DIRECCIÓN: Alejandro Fernández Almandras
Nacido en Chillán, Chile en 1971. Es Licenciado en Comunicación Social por la Universidad de Chile en 1996. Ha trabajado como crítico de cine, fotógrafo y periodista. Desde el año 2002 ha dirigido varios cortometrajes, entre ellos: La Ofrenda (2003), Desde Lejos (2006), Lo Que Trae la Lluvia (2007). Actualmente trabaja en el desarrollo de su primer largometraje, Huacho.
Born in Chillán, Chile in 1971. He is a Bachelor in Social Communication from the University of Chile in 1996. He has worked as a film critic, photographer and journalist. Since 2002 he has directed several short films, among them: La Ofrenda (2003), Desde Lejos (2006), Lo Que Trae la Lluvia (2007). He is presently working in the development of his first feature film, Huacho.
