Madrid 1922. Una ciudad que se encuentra al borde del cambio, con los valores tradicionales cuestionados por las nuevas influencias del jazz, Freud y las vanguardias. Salvador Dalí llega a la universidad: con 18 años y decidido a convertirse en un gran artista. Su peculiar mezcla de timidez y desenfrenado exhibicionismo llaman la atención de dos de los estudiantes de la élite social de la residencia de estudiantes: Federico García Lorca y Luis Buñuel.
Madrid in 1922 is a city wavering on the edge of change as traditional values are challenged by the dangerous new influences of jazz, Freud and the avant-garde. Salvador Dalí arrives at university at the age of 18 years old, determined to become a great artist. His bizarre blend of shyness and rampant exhibitionism attracts the attention of two of the university’s social elite — Federico García Lorca and Luis Buñuel.

Nacido en Londres en 1944, tiene una meritoria trayectoria como cineasta. Su primer largometraje, Solomon and Gaenor (1999), fue candidata al Óscar a la Mejor Película en Lengua Extranjera y su segundo proyecto, Wondrous Oblivion (2003), tuvo mucha repercusión en el Reino Unido con gran aceptación de la crítica y varios premios que incluyeron el premio del público al mejor largometraje en el Festival de Cine Judío de Boston. Sus otros trabajos como director para televisión incluyen Unstable Elements (1988) From Bitter Earth (1989), Without Walls: The Night Show – A Midsummer Night’s Scream (1994), Degas and Pissaro Fall Out (1994). Little Ashes (2008) es su última película hasta el momento.
Born in London in 1944, he has a distinguished track record as a filmmaker. His first feature film, Solomon and Gaenor (1999), was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and his second effort, Wondrous Oblivion (2003), was released widely across the U.K. to much critical acclaim and awards, including the audience award for best feature film at the Boston Jewish Film Festival. His other work as a director for television includes Unstable Elements (1988) From Bitter Earth (1989), Without Walls: The Night Show – A Midsummer Night’s Scream (1994), Degas and Pissaro Fall Out (1994). Little Ashes (2008) is his latest film so far.
