La historia de un hombre que hubiese querido cambiar de vida. Un hombre instalado en la mezquindad cotidiana del contrabando. Eligió esa vida por una mujer, su primer amor, pero en su interior hay una herida abierta, la nostalgia de un paraiso perdido que cree encontrar en otra mujer y en un lugar limpio y tranquilo, alejado del mundo en el que se mueve. Y cuando cree que ese sueño es posible, cuando cree alcanzarlo, todo fracasa.

Autumn 1935. Sylvain, a former boxer, lives a life of fraud and scams run along the Franco-Belgian border, with his friend Cesar and his wife Germaine, a former prostitute. A joyless existence, without rest, comprised of dirty tricks and petty crimes…Until the day when Sylvain meets a young girl, Pascaline, whose purity and joy reanimate within him another life. Everything is shaken up, and Sylvain finds the vital energy and the hope to start over again. But can this newfound happiness compete with his destiny..?
