Basado en un libro de poemas, este viaje impresionista cuenta a través de fotos antiguas, texto, animación y películas caseras, comenzado cuando la poeta de Toronto Souvankham Thammavongsa descubre un desecho álbum de recortes de su padre que documenta la huida de su familia desde Laos en la década de los 70 a través de un campo de refugiados en Tailandia.
Bases on a book of poems, this impressionistic journey told through old photos, text, animation and home movies, begins when Toronto poet Souvankham Thammavongsa discovers her father’s discarded scrapbook that documents the family’s escape from Laos in the 1970s by way of a refugee camp in Thailand.

Nacida en Shillong, la capital del noreste de la India en Meghalaya. En 2007, Paramita se graduó en in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts en la Universidad de York, Toronto. Como parte de su trabajo de graduación, Paramita produjo y dirigió su primer documental titulado “Journey into the Creative Process”. Entre 2006-07, Paramita colaboro en el documental “Inside Hana’s Suitcase”. Entre 2008-09 Paramita trabajo como ayudante de producción y escritora en” Xenophile Media”.

Was born in Shillong, the quaint capital city of Meghalaya in India’s northeast. In 2007, Paramita received an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts at York University, Toronto. As part of her graduate work, Paramita produced and directed her first documentary entitled “Journey into the Creative Process”. In 2006-07, Paramita worked under the mentorship of documentary filmmaker Larry Weinstein (Rhombus Media) where she worked on the development of the documentary feature “Inside Hana’s Suitcase”. In 2008-09 Paramita worked as an Associate Producer and Writer at “Xenophile Media”.
