A las 4 de la mañana, el 9 de abril de 1989, las tropas soviéticas violentamente cargó contra una manifestación pacífica en Tblisi (Georgia). 22 vidas inocentes cayeron víctimas de la atrocidad. “April Chill” cuenta la historia del despertar del instinto humano en un soldado soviético, gracias a una joven bailarina de Georgia.
At 4 o’clock in the morning, on April 9th 1989, the Soviet troops violently quelled a peaceful demonstration in Tblisi (Georgia). 22 innocent lives fell victim to this atrocious act. “April chill” tells the story of the awakening of human instinct in a Soviet military service man, thanks to a young Georgian dancer.

Es un director georgiano y actor nacido en 1980. Asistió a la University of Theatre and Film de Georgia (2001), donde fue elegido “Year’s Best Actor”. En 2003 se graduó en dirección y realizo tres películas experimentales: “Listen to Chopin”, “Delirium” and “Secret Man”. Al año siguiente se fue a Tisch School of the Arts in New York, donde trabajó en diferentes proyectos de cortos. De vuelta a Europa en 2005, recibe la beca Fulbright Scholarship, en el renombrado Andrzej Wajda Master School de Film Directing. En 2009 volvió a la dirección con el corto “April Chill”.
Is a Georgian director and actor born in 1980. He first attends acting classes at the University of Theatre and Film of Georgia (2001), where he is elected “Year’s Best Actor”. In 2003 he graduates in directing and achieves three experimental films (“Listen to Chopin”, “Delirium” and “Secret Man”). The year after he goes to the Tisch School of the Arts in New York, where he works on different short film projects. Back to Europe in 2005, he receives the Fulbright Scholarship, at the world renowned Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing. In 2009 he goes back to film directing with the short film “April Chill”.
