A film portrait of the Czech Art-Nouveau painter, Alfons Mucha, whose work experiences its renaissance at the beginning of the 80s. The film tells about the life of this painter, who was admitted to the Prague Academy only after ten years spent by painting theatre wings. Special emphasis is put on his monumental canvas – the Slav Epopee.
