Nacido en Massachusetts. Vivió un año en Zaragoza antes de estudiar filosofía en La Universidad de Chicago. Más tarde se fue a Japón para trabajar de traductor y profesor de enseñanza primaria. Estudió cine en la Universidad de Columbia, y allí escribió el guión de Cigarette Candy, dirigida por su amiga y colaboradora Lauren Wolkstein. Esta película ganó el premio al mejor corto en XSW 2010. Actualmente trabaja como escritor, director y editor para la productora japonesa establecida en Brooklyn, TK Digital.

Born in Massachusetts. He lived a year abroad in Zaragoza, Spain before studying philosophy at The University of Chicago. He then worked in Japan as a translator and elementary school teacher. He attended film school at Columbia University where he wrote the screenplay for Cigarette Candy, directed by close friend and collaborator, Lauren Wolkstein. Cigarette Candy won Best Short at SXSW 2010. Currently, he works as a writer, director, and editor for the Brooklyn-based Japanese production company TK Digital.
