Un reportero oportunista se ha visto exiliado a un pequeño diario de Nuevo México después de que le despidieran de un gran periódico del este por su deshonestidad, su afición a la bebida e insubordinación en general. Un día se tropieza accidentalmente con una historia que le puede devolver a la primera división siempre que tire lo suficiente del hilo y pueda guardarla para él mismo.
An opportunist reporter has been exiled to a small New Mexico daily after being kicked off a top eastern paper for dishonesty, drinking and general insubordination. One day he accidentally stumbles on a story that he believes can get him back in the big leagues so long as he plays the yarn long enough and can keep it to himself.
