Para Kaja la familia es lo más importante del mundo. Es una eterna optimista a pesar de vivir con un hombre que prefiere ir de caza con los amigos y que rehúsa hacer el amor con ella. Pero, así es la vida.
Pero cuando “la pareja perfecta” se muda a la casa de al lado, Kaja debe esforzarse para seguir sonriendo. Esas dos personas guapas y maravillosas no sólo cantan en un coro, ¡También han adoptado a un niño etíope!
