SANTÍSIMA TRINIDAD

Entre telas, hilos y vestidos vive Trinidad, una mujer de mediana edad de un pueblo de Sinaloa, al Norte de México. Como parte de su cultura ha aprendido a aceptar sus problemas de una manera optimista. El machismo forma parte esencial de su vida, por un lado lo rechaza, pero por el otro piensa que necesario para educar a una mujer. Ella cree que se puede volver a ser virgen después de más de veinte años sin sostener relaciones sexuales, no sabe lo que es un orgasmo y afirma que nunca ha visto el miembro de un hombre a pesar de tener cuatro hijos. Para sobrevivir a sus desgracias, como buena mexicana, Trinidad convierte una historia de abuso en una anécdota de gracia.

Among fabrics, yarns and garments lives Trinidad, a middle-aged woman from a village in Sinaloa, northern Mexico. Just like her culture, she has learned to accept their problems in an optimistic way. Sexist theory is an essential part of her life, which she refuses at first, but on the other hand she thinks that it’s needed in order to educate a woman. She believes that she can turn into a
virgin again after more than twenty years without having sex, she does not know what an orgasm feels like and also she has never seen the male organ despite having four children. To survive her misfortunes, as a good Mexican, Trinidad turns a story of abuse into an anecdote of gratitude.
