Actualmente residente en Nueva York, es originaria de Monterrey, México. Máster en Bellas Artes de NYU, Tisch School of the Arts. Ha protagonizado numerosos cortometrajes, incluyendo The White Roses (2014), estrenado en la Berlinale, y luego tuvo su primer papel como protagonista en el drama independiente Fish Bones (2018) presentado en Slamdance. Ha escrito y dirigido varios videos de arte y música que se han publicado en revistas como Juxtapoz y han sido nominados por la MTV Latinoamérica como Video del Año. Su último trabajo, San Miguel (2018), que escribió y dirigió, recibió el reconocido Fondo de Producción de Cine Spike Lee, una beca de la Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood y ahora forma parte del Programa Oficial de la 58ª edición de Semaine de la Crítica, Cannes 2019. Actualmente escribe un piloto y está desarrollando su primer largometraje.

Based in NYC. From Monterrey, Mexico. Director, writer and actress, Cris Gris holds an MFA in Filmmaking from NYU, Tisch School of the Arts. She has starred in many shorts, including The White Roses (2014) which premiered at the Berlinale, and went on to have her first leading role in the feature independent drama Fish Bones (2018) which premiered at Slamdance. Gris has written and directed various art and music videos which have been published in magazines such as Juxtapoz and nominated by MTV Latin America for “Video of the Year”. Gris’ latest work San Miguel (2018), which she wrote and directed, received the renowned Spike Lee Film Production Fund and a grant from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, and is now part of the Official Program of the 58th edition of Semaine de la Critique, Cannes 2019. She is currently writing a pilot, and developing her first feature film.
