PULQUERÍA «LA ROSITA»

Un niño que vive con sus padres en una ciudad perdida se enfrenta a la violencia cotidiana en un medio marginal. La policía se lleva al padre borracho por lo que el niño se va a trabajar con un anciano, dueño de una jaula de pajaritos amaestrados. El anciano se enferma y el niño escapa con la jaula. Al correr tropieza, la jaula se rompe y los pájaros escapan. Temeroso, se queda acurrucado en un rincón sintiéndose agredido por todos, hasta que encuentra unos niños lumpen quienes se refugian en una bodega y fuman mariguana. Con ellos el niño se siente seguro, y en su mano vemos una navaja.

A child who lives with his parent in a lost city comes face to face with violence in a poor area. When the police arrest his drunken father, the boy goes to work for an old man, owner of a cage of trained birds. The old man becomes ill and the boy escapes with the cage. As he runs, he falls, the cage breaks open and the birds escape. Frightened, he squats in a corner thinking the whole world is against him until he meets some boys from the underclass. He goes with them and they smoke marijuana. With them he feels safe and in his hand we see a knife.
