EL CENTERFIELDER

Tiene lugar a comienzo de los años setenta cuando un zapatero ex miembro del equipo de beisbol es encarcelado e interrogado acerca del paradero de su hijo que se ha integrado a los sandinistas. Sus captores sospechan que es un simpatizante del FSLN y se proponen matarlo durante un "intento de fuga" que ellos mismo arreglan.
La película está basada en un cuento del mismo nombre de Sergi Ramírez Mercado.

It takes place at the beginning of the seventies when a cobbler, ex-member of the baseball team, is put in prison and questioned on the shere about of his son show has joined the sandinista party. The people who arrested him suspect that he is a supporter of the FSLN and they plan to kill h im during an "escape attempt" they arrange.
The film is based on a story titled with the same name than Sergio Ramírez Mercado’s one.
