Gonzalo Tobal nació en Argentina en 1981. Escribió y dirigió los cortometrajes “Cerrar la Tapa” (2003), “Álbum Familiar en cuatro entregas” (2005) y “Ahora todos parecen contentos” (2007), que obtuvo el Primer Premio de la Cinéfondation del Festival de Cannes. Su nuevo cortometraje “Cynthia todavía tiene las llaves” (2010) se presenta en la Semana de la Crítica del Festival de Cannes. Actualmente desarrolla “Villegas”, su primer largometraje.

Gonzalo Tobal was born in Argentina in 1981. He wrote and directed the shortfilms “To Shut the Lid” (2003), “Family Album in Four Installments” (2005) and “Now everybody seems to be happy” (2007), awarded with the First Prize of the Cinéfondation at the Cannes Film Festival. His latest shortfilm “Cynthia still got the keys” (2010) is presented at the Cannes Film Festival’s Critics’ Week. He is currently developing his first feature film “Villegas”.
