DIRECCIÓN: Diego Freitas

Director, guionista y productor brasileño. Graduado en Comunicación, con más de 10 años de experiencia en el cine, ha producido y dirigido documentales, películas de ficción y anuncios para cine, TV e Internet. En 2014, escribió, dirigió fotografía y editó dos cortometrajes exhibidos en el canal Futura TV, llamados Traço Urbano y A arte de ser Músico, producidos por Elisa Tolomelli (Cidade de Deus, Central do Brasil). En 2015 dirigió y editó el corto From Joystick to Work, también exhibido en canal Futura. En 2016 dirigió y editó el premiado cortometraje Salt, presente en la mayoría de los festivales brasileños y en muchos festivales internacionales. En 2017 estrenó su primer largometraje como director y guionista con David’s Secret, que se estrenó en el Festival de Cine Mundial de Montreal y se distribuyó comercialmente en 2018. En 2019 dirigió y produjo el cortometraje Way Back Home con el legendario actor brasileño Lima Duarte. Como productor, Diego ha trabajado con Fox International en el reality show de 2016 Rio Bar Brasil y actualmente está trabajando en el largometraje O Novelo que se estrenará en 2020.

Brazilian director, screenwriter and producer. Graduated in Communication, with more than 10 years of experience in cinema, he has produced and directed documentaries, fiction films and commercials for cinema, TV and the Internet. In 2014, he wrote, directed photography, and edited two short films shown on the Futura TV channel, called Traço Urbano and A arte de ser Músico, produced by Elisa Tolomelli (Cidade de Deus, Central do Brasil). In 2015, he directed and edited the short film From Joystick to Work, also shown on Futura channel. In 2016 he directed and edited the award-winning short film Salt, which took part in most Brazilian festivals and in many international festivals. In 2017, he released his first feature film as director and screenwriter: David’s Secret, which premiered at the Montreal World Film Festival and was commercially distributed in 2018. In 2019, he directed and produced the short film Way Back Home with the legendary Brazilian actor Lima Duarte. As a producer, Diego has worked with Fox International on the 2016 reality show Rio Bar Brasil and is currently working on the feature film O Novelo which will be released in 2020.
