A Colombian professor and writer born in 1945. He is a Bachelor in Law from the University of Antioquia since 1967. His activities related with film industry started as a Secretary of Medellin Film Club in 1965, of which he became the Director between 1968 and 1971.
He has been a professor of film at the Universidad Pontifica Bolivariana (1966-1969). Member of the editorial board of the magazine Cuadro. Contributor to the magazines Cine and Cinemateca. Film critic for the newspaper El Mundo. Also critic for El Colombiano. Regular contributor to the magazine Kinetoscopio. He presently teaches film at the Antioquia University.
He has written and been published several books Que nunca llegue la hora del olvido (1986) or La música que es como la vida (1990). Next year he will be published a collection of his articles about cinema: Escrito en el viento.
He is a member of the board of directors of the Poetry magazine Aquarimantima and also a member of the editorial board of the Collection Celeste published by Antioquia University.
