DIRECCIÓN: Frédéric Even, Louise Mercadier

Frédéric Even se graduó en literatura general y estudios comparativos en la Sorbona; Louise Mercadier estudió ciencias sociales en la Universidad de París I y escultura y animación en los Beaux-arts Ateliers de París. Después de sus estudios, se interesaron por las películas de animación en stop motion. Fascinados por esta técnica, decidieron producir su primer cortometraje de animación, Metamorfosis, una adaptación libre del cuento de Kafka, con notable éxito en diversos festivales. Escribieron después el guión para un segundo cortometraje, Sororelle. Además de sus proyectos en el cine, Frédéric es profesor de literatura de instituto en Seine-Saint-Denis, Francia, y Louise dirige talleres de iniciación audiovisual. Por ejemplo, dirigió durante un año talleres de dirección en hogares de trabajadores migrantes en París y creó una película animada con niños hospitalizados. Sororelle es su primera película profesional.

Frédéric Even graduated in comprehensive literature and comparative studies at the Sorbonne; Louise Mercadier studied social science at Paris I University and sculpture and animation at the beaux-arts ateliers in Paris. After their studies, they became interested in animated films in stop-motion. Fascinated by this technique, they decided to make their first self-produced animated short film, Metamorphosis, a free adaptation of Kafka’s short story. The film was very successful at festivals. They then wrote the script for a second stop-motion animated short film: Sororelle. In addition to his personal projects, Frédéric is a high school literature teacher in Seine-Saint-Denis, France, and Louise leads audio-visual initiation workshops. For example, she has led  workshops at migrant workers’ homes in Paris for a year, and created an animated film with children hospitalized in three European hospitals. Sororelle is their first professional film.
