La garita de un banco resguarda dentro de si a un hombre y su historia. Dentro de este oscuro y reducido espacio donde la realidad es desgastada por el marullo del tiempo, se devela capa tras capa nuevas sensaciones, situaciones y visiones. Mientras mas nos acercamos nos damos cuenta de cuan lejos en realidad estamos de descubrir las contradicciones del hombre, que guarece a la sombra de este refugio convertido en prisión…
The sentry box in a bank holds within its walls a man and his story. Inside that dark and reduced space reality is wasted away by the surge of time. Layer-by-layer new sensations, situations and visions are unveiled. The closer we get, the more we truly realize how far away we are from discovering the contradictions of this man, held in the shadow of this shelter turned prison…
DIRECCIÓN: Gerard Uzcátegui
Licenciado en Medios Audiovisuales en la Universidad de los Andes. Cursó estudios de cine en el New York Film Academy. Es director y director de fotografía de cortometrajes, documentales y largometrajes. Se le han otorgado numerosos premios como Mejor Cortometraje, Mejor Dirección, Mejor Fotografía y Edición en diferentes festivales venezolanos de cine. Su cortometraje Mar Blindado estuvo en la competencia oficial en diferentes Festivales Internacionales. Actualmente se encuentra desarrollando un nuevo corto La Noche Anuncia la Aurora.
Bachelor in Audiovisual Media from the University of The Andes. Studied at the New York Film Academy. He is a Director and Cinematographer of short films, documentaries and feature films. He has received several awards at various Venezuelan film festivals: best short film, best director, best photography and edition. His short film Mar Blindado has been part of official competition at different international festivals. He is currently working on a new short film, La Noche Anuncia la Aurora.
