QUO VADIS?

En la Roma de Nerón, el joven tribuno Marco Vinicio, sobrino de Petronio, se enamora de la extranjera Ligia, considerada rehén tras el sometimiento de su pueblo por las armas y convertida al cristianismo por sus protectores romanos. Usando las influencias de su tío, Vinicio consigue que Nerón le entregue a la muchacha, pero ésta huye a refugiarse entre los cristianos, que están siendo perseguidos.

In Nero’s Rome, the young tribune Marcus Vinicius, Petronius’ nephew, falls in love with a foreigner, Ligia, who is considered a hostage after the subjection of her people by the force of the arms, and who has been Christianized by her Roman patrons. Thanks to his uncle influence, Vinicius manages to persuade Nero to hand her over to him, but she runs away and takes refuge with the Christians, who are being persecuted.
