LAS BICICLETAS

Nicolás está furioso. Otra vez entraron a robar a casa y se llevaron su bicicleta. Y el podría jurar que vio a un tipo sospechoso rondando la cuadra ese día. Afuera, lejos, en barrios que no conoce, la ciudad está medio destruida por un terremoto y bajo toque de queda por orden del gobierno militar. Nicolás acompaña a su madre al tribunal para tratar de reconocer al ladrón.

Nicolas is furious. They have, once again, broken into his house and stolen his bicycle. He could swear he saw a suspicious-looking type in the vicinity of his house that day. Outside, beyond, the city stands destroyed by an earthquake and under curfew by order of the military government. He accompanies his mother to the courts to see if he can recognize the thief.
