En Roma, al amanecer, cuando todo el mundo duerme, un hombre está despierto. Ese hombre es Giulio Andreotti. Está despierto porque tiene que trabajar, escribir libros, moverse en los círculos de moda, y por último, aunque no menos importante, para rezar. Tranquilo, astuto e inescrutable, hace más de cuarenta años que Andreotti es sinónimo de poder en Italia. A principios de los años noventa, este hombre impasible pero sugerente, ambiguo pero tranquilizador, está preparado para asumir su séptimo mandato de Primer Ministro sin arrogancia y sin humildad.
In Rome, at dawn, when everyone is asleep, there’s one man who isn’t sleeping. That man is called Giulio Andreotti. He isn’t sleeping because he has to work, write books, be a socialite, and, last but not least, pray. Calm, ambiguous, inscrutable, Andreotti is synonym of power in Italy for over four decades. At the beginning of the nineties, without arrogance or humility, immobile, ambiguous and reassuring, he advances relentlessly towards his seventh mandate as Prime Minister.

Nacido en Nápoles, Italia, en 1970. En 1994 escribió y dirigió su primer corto titulado Un Paradiso, finalista en el Festival de Cine de Palermo de 1995. Dos años más tarde escribió junto a Antonio Capuano, el film Polvere di Napoli, dirigido por el propio Capuano junto con Silvio Orlando. En 1997 ganó el premio Solinas por un guión titulado Napoletani y en 1998 escribió, junto a Humberto Contarello, una película titulada La Voce dell´Amore. Ese mismo año escribió y dirigió un corto titulado L´amore non ha Confini, producida por Indigo Film. Este corto compitió en el Festival de Cine de Turín entre otros y ganó premios como el del Mejor Corto en el Quinto Festival Corto Circuito. Escribió varios episodios de La Squadra para la Televisión Italiana, hasta que se adentro en el mundo del largometraje. Su filmografía incluye L’uomo in più (2001), La notte lunga (2001), Le conseguenze del amore (2004), L’amico di famiglia (2006) y Il divo (2008).
Born in Naples, Italy in 1970. In 1994 he wrote and directed his first short film entitled Un Paradiso, finalist in Palermo Film festival in 1995. Two years later he co-wrote together with Antonio Capuano, the film Polvere di Napoli, directed by Capuano with Silvio Orlando. In 1997 he won the award Solinas for a film script entitled Napoletani and in 1998 he co-wrote with Humberto Contarello the film La Voce dell´Amore. That same year he wrote and directed the short film L´amore non ha Confini, produced by Indigo Film. This short film competed at Torino Film Festival among others and won several awards such as the Best Short Film in the Fifth Edition of Shortcircuit Festival. He wrote several episodes of La Squadra for Italian Television, until he entered in the world of feature film. His filmography includes L’uomo in più (2001), La notte lunga (2001), Le conseguenze del amore (2004), L’amico di famiglia (2006) and Il divo (2008).
